Senior IT Procurement Category Manager

I am seeking a Senior IT Procurement Category Manager to lead the procurement of technology goods and ICT/IT services in a fast-moving environment. This is an important leadership role responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, value for money, compliance and supporting an overall digital transformation.

In this role you will:

• Develop and implement long-term strategic category plans for IT.
• Lead and mentor a team in a high-performance culture.
• Drive best practice and continuous improvement across sourcing and procurement activities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, delivering value through innovative sourcing strategies.

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

• Create and execute sourcing strategies for IT categories including Software and Professional Services.
• Apply strategic sourcing methodologies such as cost analysis, vendor scorecards, market research, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership assessments.
• Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring optimal terms and conditions.

Risk & Compliance Management

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, processes, and systems for all IT spend.
• Oversee vendor contract renewals and approvals in line with governance requirements.

Leadership

• Provide clear direction, coaching, and development of team members.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions to enhance performance.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and technology leadership teams.
• Influence decision-making through effective communication and strategic insights.

You will bring:

• Degree/Dip in Business, Procurement, ICT/Technology, or similar.
• Minimum 9 years' experience in IT Category Management, with 4 or more years in a team leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong communication skills alongside and stakeholder management
