Maintenance Manager

Sanderson are working with a well-known Irish Food Group to recruit for the position of a Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Strategy and Problem Resolution: Design and implement maintenance strategies, diagnose breakdowns, and develop preventative maintenance programs to address recurring issues and improve plant efficiency.
• Team Management and Development: Lead and upskill the maintenance team, collaborate with production to meet site schedules, and manage additional resourcing needs.
• System and Equipment Management: Oversee the Computerised Maintenance Management System, manage spare parts and supplies, and ensure timely calibration and statutory testing of equipment.
• Budget and KPI Management: Set and achieve maintenance budgets and targets, monitor and report on utilities costs, and ensure compliance with predefined KPIs for maintenance performance and equipment effectiveness.
• Contractor and Supplier Relations: Manage external contractors and service contracts, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and maintaining good relations with critical suppliers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a team in a similar environment.
• Must hold an electrical qualification with industrial experience.
• Ability to apply engineering principles in practical application.
• Project management experience essential.
• Proven track record in team development and management essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
