IT/ICT Category Manager (Procurement)

Responsibilities:

• Develop category strategies for operational efficiencies within the IT/ICT space
• Build and maintain expert knowledge of global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.
• Manage multi-stream strategic sourcing projects, including research, negotiation, financials, risk, resourcing, and governance.
• Foster collaboration with suppliers, stakeholders, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with governance and policies.
• Adapt technical solutions to business needs and articulate trends to leaders.
• Be able to create change, managing multiple sourcing initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with operational users, specialists, and senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrate commercial acumen with major suppliers.
• Reduce costs and add value through sourcing and supplier development methodologies.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, in the IT/ICT areas
• Experience in leading key technology negotiations.
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into sourcing practices.
• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
• Deep understanding of industry and category trends.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and planning skills.
• Degree level or equivalent experience; CPSM/CIPS qualification desirable
