Executive Legal Counsel

Sanderson is partnering with a leading Irish energy authority to recruit an Executive Legal Counsel. This is a 13-month contract role, based in Dublin, Dundalk, Cork, or Sligo, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the country’s sustainability goals. This role sits within the Governance and Procurement Department, reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice across various departments on matters related to administrative, regulatory, and contract law.
• Support contractual arrangements with third parties by delivering proactive legal counsel.
• Engage in diverse legal areas, such as public procurement, State aid, data protection, and Freedom of Information law.
• Collaborate with Senior Legal Counsel and operational teams to address programmatic and policy-based legal matters.
• Contribute to high-quality legal services in a dynamic, sustainability-focused environment.

Role Requirements:

• Admitted to practice as a solicitor or barrister in Ireland, with at least four years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience advising on public, regulatory, commercial, or corporate law transactions.
• Strong track record of managing a varied caseload and meeting critical deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with fluency in English.
