Senior Learning & Development Specialist

Sanderson is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Learning & Development Specialist to join our client’s growing business. You will significantly contribute towards enhancing the skills and the capabilities of their workforce aligned to the strategic business objectives.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days per week in office

Core Responsibilities:

Design & Delivery

  • Design, implement, and deliver leadership development programs. This will include in-house module design and where required engaging with external providers
  • Develop and deliver engaging and impactful learning programs with a particular focus on management and leadership development initiatives
  • Use a variety of learning methodologies, including e-learning, blended learning approaches, classroom, and workshops
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to employees and managers to support career development

Stakeholder Management

  • Effectively communicate and influence senior stakeholders, ensuring buy-in and support
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the business and its strategic goals

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify skills gaps and customise training
  • Facilitate regular updates and feedback sessions with stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement
  • Effectively communicate the purpose and value of L&D initiatives to learning cohorts

Data-Driven Evaluation

  • Leverage data and analytics to identify training needs, measure program effectiveness, and inform decision-making
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of leadership programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
  • Measure and demonstrate the impact of L&D initiatives on business performance
  • Assess the effectiveness of learning programs

L&D Team Engagement & Purpose

  • Work in collaboration to develop and implement L&D strategies
  • Continuously seek opportunities to innovate
  • Lead change initiatives within the L&D function
  • Drive adoption of new learning approaches

Project Management

  • Lead and manage complex, company-wide learning and development (L&D) initiatives.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development, developing training programs.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering learning programs.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
