Project Assistant- Building Retrofit

Location: Dublin, Dundalk, Sligo or, Cork

Our client leads the way in renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency, contributing to a greener future. They are responsible for developing, administering, and managing a variety of focused energy programs. These programs are designed to assist businesses of all sizes in implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions, helping to achieve the goals set out in the Climate Action Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organise multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing demands effectively.
  • Proactively set and achieve project goals, managing scope, time, risks, cost, and quality.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in delivering both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Work independently, meeting deadlines and milestones with minimal supervision.
  • Utilise strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues strategically.
  • Communicate effectively through written reports, presentations, and public speaking, translating technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Foster a commitment to quality and continual improvement in all projects.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal colleagues, third-party experts, and external stakeholders.
  • Apply technical knowledge of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Stay informed about broader policy goals for the energy sector at both EU and national levels.
  • Understand key challenges in sustainable energy policy, including life cycle sustainability, stakeholder acceptance, and value for money.
  • Utilise well-developed IT skills to support project management and technical tasks.
  • Establish yourself as a source of technical knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry developments.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally a degree/master's in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Science, Business, or Social Science.
  • 3+ years work experience in energy or business-related roles
  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong proactive approach and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Technical expertise in renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency.
  • Knowledge of EU and national energy policies.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency with MS Excel or equivalent.
