Pricing Capital Actuary - Daily Rate

Sanderson are partnering with a leading Insurance Group to recruit for a Qualified Actuary to join the Pricing team to work on a unit-linked product initiative on a 6-month daily rate contract, with view for extension. This is an excellent opportunity for an actuary to work in a commercial role, supporting expansive growth strategy. The role requires engagement across multiple areas of the business including Product, Sales, Customer Experience, IT, Finance, and Risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a large project team implementing a new IT solution for a unit-linked product line.
• Support modelling of key metrics for business case purposes.
• Propose key pricing assumptions.
• Consider capital impacts of proposals.
• Explore methods including reinsurance or other options to reduce capital requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified actuary with 7+ years of life/pensions experience.
• Confident communicator with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self-starter with a proven track record of achievement.
• Delivery-focused with a flexible attitude and approach.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and manage expectations accordingly.
• Knowledge of the Irish commercial and regulatory environment.
• Strong Prophet and Excel knowledge.
• Knowledge of Solvency II methodology including VNB, IFRS17, and their impact on pricing.
• Experience in pricing in the Irish market is an advantage but not essential. The role may suit an actuary with Economic Capital experience.
