Hardware Experience Designer

Sanderson have teamed up with a global telecommunications officer to recruit a Hardware Experience Designer.

This role involves designing solutions that meet current market needs and anticipate future trends. Ideal candidates will have a passion for IoT in the enterprise space and a blend of Industrial Design and software UX experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for digital products and physical devices.
• Design packaging and physical products.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and suppliers to ensure designs are feasible and align with technical constraints and company objectives.
• Lead the design process from concept to production, including sketching, prototyping, testing, and finalizing designs.
• Conduct user research and testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, integrating new design methodologies into our processes.
• Develop innovative design solutions for both near and long-term business opportunities.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Industrial Design with a strong portfolio showcasing digital and physical product design.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Experience in UI/UX design for web and mobile applications.
• Skills in physical prototyping.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with customer journey mapping.
