Cyber Security Operations Manager - Sandyford

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Operations Manager to oversee an IT security operations team for a multinational leading construction business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the organisation's assets, employees information. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of security protocols and technologies, particularly ISO27001.
You will be an excellent fit for the Cyber Security Operations Manager position if you:-
- Possess 2-3 years of management experience
- Have downstream experience in cyber security
- Understand security protocols and technologies, in particular ISO27001.
As part of your role, you will:
- Establish and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Oversee daily security operations and collaborate with MSSPs for managed SOC, MDR, EPP, and VMaaS.
- Maintain and improve ISO27001:2022 processes and prepare for annual audits.
- Develop and manage a security awareness program and ongoing staff training.
- Organize security workshops for senior stakeholders.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits, implementing corrective measures.
- Lead security incident response, including investigation and reporting.
- Integrate security measures with other departments and manage client and supply chain security requirements.
- Monitor and analyse security systems' performance.
- Manage the security budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures.
You possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in security management, Information Technology, or a Master's degree is advantageous.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in security operations, with 2-3 years in a managerial or team lead role preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of security protocols, systems, and technologies, including surveillance systems, access control, and cybersecurity measures.
- Proven experience in project management, encompassing planning, execution, and oversight of security projects.
- Strong familiarity with ISO27001 standards is crucial, especially considering the organisation's ISO27001:2022 certification.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, including responsibilities such as hiring, training, and performance management.
- Experience in managing high-pressure situations and making swift, effective decisions during security incidents.
- Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or similar are highly desirable.
