Head of International Payroll

Sanderson is excited to partner with an international organization to recruit a Head of International Payroll on a permanent basis. This pivotal role involves shaping and executing the Group payroll strategy, guiding HR and Finance in managing local payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Group Payroll strategy in collaboration with project leadership and regional/functional leads.
  • Lead the rollout of regional payroll solutions and stakeholder integration.
  • Support operational goals by anticipating needs, identifying resources, assessing opportunities, managing risks, and implementing innovative technical and process solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and regional leads to identify, prioritize, and implement process, control, and policy improvements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop a Group Payroll scorecard.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of Group payrolls.
  • Compile monthly and weekly payroll information and liaise with third-party payroll providers.
  • Reconcile and post payroll-related activities to the general ledger.
  • Address payroll-related queries and issues from employees across the Group.
  • Ensure compliance with internal payroll procedures and regulations.
  • Lead a team of seven or more employees, providing guidance, coaching, and development.
  • Promote a diverse workplace that enables all team members to reach their full potential.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant field and Accounting/Payroll qualification.
  • Experience with SAP & Success Factors is advantageous.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a large international organization.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Proven project management and analytical skills, with a focus on metrics.
  • Expertise in Payroll/Time processes and HR functions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
