Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

Accounting & Finance | Ireland | Contract | € 130000 - € 140000 

Sanderson are partnering with a large successful Fintech to recruit for a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this is a 6 month daily rate contract with a view to permanency. Hybrid working, 3 days onsite in the Dublin 2 office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual financial planning process, working with Business Unit heads to build their annual budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue department on forecasts and with the senior leadership team on board presentation materials.
  • Analyse financial and operational results to understand company performance relative to budget, including monthly KPI analysis and development.
  • Manage the overall corporate financial model, including scenario analysis for changes in deployment volume, liquidity requirements, and unit economics.
  • Run a quarterly financial latest estimate process to provide management with updated performance expectations.
  • Work with budget owners on additional spend requests, including ROI analysis and recommendations to the CFO.
  • Collaborate with the data team on reporting improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Assist the capital markets team with modeling new debt facility terms and diligence requests.
  • Work with the portfolio/credit team on pricing changes and their impact on forecasts and unit economics.
  • Prepare business cases to support new investments and strategic decisions, working closely with the leadership team on medium to long-term financial and strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • Professional accountancy qualification ACA/CIMA/ACCA with 7+ years PQE and experience in an FP&A or similar commercial role.
  • Experience delivering analysis to and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Systems experience such as SQL is an advantage but not essential.
  • Innate curiosity and willingness to learn about the financial and operational characteristics of the company and e-commerce businesses.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving organisation using lightweight processes, creative ideas, and quick iteration.
  • Excellent financial acumen and ability to understand and break down complex data and processes.
  • Proactive, flexible, and keen to make a difference and help the company grow.
