Programme Executive - Research Development & Demonstration

You will be helping to coordinate, promote & assist R&D demonstration of new technologies related to sustainable energy. You will share funded research through the following: conferences, a seminar series, national energy funding coordination & working closely with colleagues across departments, specialist bodies in this area.

Join a great team committed to the high-quality Research, & demonstration Programme. Support the Funding Programme including the evaluation & oversight of projects implemented

  • Be involved in strategic programme development within an R&D Team
  • Enhance communication around funded R&D projects for Energy Agencies, Horizon Europe etc
  • Work with functions to support delivery of R&D activities. Represent the organisation in national, EU/Int committees as required.

  • Have great project management and have delivered projects end to end.

  • Excellent written & oral communication skills & can represent in a public forum.
  • build strong working relationship with int/ext. stakeholders.
  • A flexible approach to problem solving & decision making to ensure the best solution.
  • Good numeracy skills, attention to detail & quality.
  • Can multitask, manage competing deadlines & use initiative & good IT skills.

Essential Requirements

  • • A post-graduate in a relevant energy-related area in engineering, scientific, social science etc.
  • • A min 3 years’ exp. in an energy-related area or research management inc Post graduate studies
  • • Have worked in energy-related research environment across public sector, academia, or industry.
  • • Knowledge of Ireland’s energy-related research strengths & opportunities.
  • • An understanding of national & European energy policy priorities & how research can support achieving these priorities.
  • Ideally experience in the Public Sector &/or a PhD
