Procurement Specialist - Technical

This global organisation are seeking to expand the team with a technical Sourcing Specialist who will control & manage a large spend.

The role is 2 days a week on site in central Dublin

You’ll be: -

• Leading the sourcing process for construction & maintenance
• Guiding stakeholders through the Sourcing process,
• Identifying potential suppliers, drafting requirements, analysing qualifications, negotiating deals, & monitoring supplier performance.
• Driving continuous cost savings & revenue generation.
• Performing market analyses to find potential suppliers.
• Guiding internal business partners through the supplier selection process.
• Working cross-functionally to understand reqs, create RFXs/ RFPs, & conduct negotiations.
• Managing a sourcing process, ensuring that it aligns with their policies.
• Validating that suppliers are upholding contract terms & conditions.
• Lead role in supporting company’s cost savings & revenue generation business goals through the sourcing process for large spend category areas.
• Drive all aspects of complex strategic sourcing process, taking lead on contract negotiations of business
• Pricing terms & conditions, conducting research & providing benchmark data on pricing &/or other key terms.
• Process large amounts of & varying types of data to find solutions
• Work with partners to resolve supplier issues ie Contract language interpretation / clarification.
• Maximising purchasing power to achieve a lower cost while mitigating risk.
• Take a lead role & work with multiple teams to guide selections of low-cost & qualified Suppliers to provide needed services.
• Stay current with industry trends for assigned category areas to be an advisor to Bus. Partners.
• Present new products, technologies & services from existing or new suppliers to clients.

You will have

• Degree or similar .
• Sourcing, procurement including complex negotiating experience.
• Attention to detail and used to reading contracts and looking for areas that need discussion/amending.
• BA/Bsc in supply chain, Engineering or construction mgt..
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Project mgt. or a Supply chain certification
• Program mgt., budget mgt., request-for-proposal, & vendor selection experience.
• Exp. with site management, construction insurance, construction bidding
• Exp. in sourcing companies for outsourced construction

A great daily rate is on offer and this will be a long term contract with a view to permanency if all goes to plan
