Unit Pricing Specialist/Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Pricing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in unit pricing, life assurance,fund accounting, or financial services. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely calculation of unit prices, providing technical guidance, and supporting the implementation of unit pricing policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience in Unit Pricing Function in a Life insurance company.
- Ability to work well both individually, and as part of a team.
- Risk and control focus to ensure correct and insightful outputs.
- Risk Management. Skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with unit pricing
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements to ensure all pricing activities adhere to legal standards.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve financial issues
- Process Management: Ability to assist in design, implement, and oversee robust pricing processes and methodologies.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, Python, and data visualisation software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is crucial for analysing pricing data and trends.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in pricing data.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in unit pricing, fund accounting, or a related field within the financial services industry.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of unit pricing methodologies, fund accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems used for unit pricing and fund accounting. Experience with automation tools is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments and industry standards.
- Familiarity with local and international regulations related to unit pricing and fund accounting.
- Experience in leading or mentoring a team is an advantage.
