Part Qualified Accountant - Not for Profit

Sanderson is excited to partner with a leading Charity Organisation to recruit a Part Qualified Accountant for a 9-month contract. This hybrid role is based in Dublin City Centre.

Role Overview: As a Part Qualified Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, conducting financial analysis, managing CE Scheme accounts and administration, handling funder returns, and performing various cyclical and ad hoc finance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journals for monthly Management Accounts
• Handle bank postings and reconciliations
• Reconcile and maintain Balance Sheet general ledger accounts
• Conduct reporting, GL analysis, and departmental analysis
• Assist in the production of financial statements and the annual audit process
• Manage funder income and remittances
• Prepare quarterly state funding returns
• Reconcile fundraising income monthly between fundraising and finance systems
• Administer and report on restricted funds
• Manage and administer credit cards

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Accounting Technician IATI or Part Qualified Accountant working towards a full professional accounting qualification
• 2+ years of experience in a similar finance role, with a focus on preparing monthly management accounts
• Experience in the not-for-profit sector
• Strong IT skills, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience using Exchequer
• Experience in preparing VAT returns, reconciliations, and related compliance
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
