Billing Specialist - Healthcare

Sanderson is partnering with a prominent health care facility in Dublin City Centre to recruit a Billing Specialist on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

• Generate accurate and timely invoices for inpatient stays and procedures.
• Liaise with hospital departments to ensure all billable procedures are captured.
• Monitor billing accuracy and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Assist in meeting monthly billing targets and deadlines.
• Support internal and external audits related to billing.
• Review PMI contracts to maximize billing accuracy.
• Ensure all billing records and charts are properly documented.
• Provide self-payer procedure cost estimates and assist patients with billing queries.
• Contribute to system upgrades and process improvements for billing efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to support reporting and revenue analysis.

Requirements:

• Relevant third-level qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of billing experience in a health care or medical environment
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on own initiative
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Clear verbal and written communication
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
