Senior Accountant

Sanderson are partnering with a Multinational Manufacturing group to recruit for a Senior Accountant on a 6-month contract basis. This is a remote role with occasional travel to Tullamore.

The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for a range of essential duties to ensure the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of our multinational manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce the monthly financial accounting package, including manufacturing KPIs, in accordance with US GAAP rules and within corporate deadlines.
• Perform balance sheet and P&L analysis, monthly balance sheet reconciliations including payroll, inventory, accruals, and VAT, and post the associated journals.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working cross-functionally with department heads and non-financial leaders.
• Maintain item/cost for Bills of Material and Routings, and assist in the annual standard cost update process.
• Close work orders and analyze daily inventory transactions; explain manufacturing variances by reviewing work orders and collaborating with production supervisors.
• Assist in the physical inventory count process and aid in the development and implementation of a cycle count process.
• Prepare E&O provisions using sound judgment.
• Liaise with BPO on AP, AR, cash management, intercompany transactions, SOX, and fixed assets transactions.
• Review internal control procedures for SOX compliance and assist with internal and external audits.
• Serve as the first point of contact for external auditors, prepare local statutory accounts, and assist in the preparation of annual corporation tax computations.

Qualifications & Required experience

• Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA with at least 3 years post-qualification experience
• Experience working in the Multinational Manufacturing sector is required
• Strong working knowledge of SOX and US GAAP
• Experience with Swiss GAAP an advantage
• Experienced user of Oracle
• Advanced level in MS Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills with experience working in a diverse environment
