Sanderson are partnering with a Not for Profit organisation to recruit a Finance Manager on a 2 year fixed term contract. This Finance Manager will focus on the health and wellbeing programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional finance-related support to the operations business units.
- Take responsibility for core operational financial procedures, controls, and quality.
- Oversee the production of management information for various internal and external audiences.
- Manage the finance operations team, organizing roles, responsibilities, work plans, timetables, and deadlines.
- Ensure timely delivery of all financial operations functions in line with policies and regulations.
- Effective treasury management, including programme cash flow, drawdown, and reporting requirements.
- Liaise with other directorates on operations management, programme developments, performance delivery agreements, and reporting.
- Report to funders on specific programme financial requirements.
- Be accountable for allocated budgets and resources.
- Manage Service Level Agreements and performance metrics for Programme Funding Management.
- Develop processes to implement policy decisions and assist in the development of new systems.
- Oversee assigned staff, ensuring they understand their roles and receive necessary guidance.
- Conduct one-on-ones and performance evaluations to foster staff development.
- Work with senior management to allocate team resources effectively.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and internal policies.
- Oversee relationships and communications with external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain effective internal relationships across the group.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience required
- Qualified Accountant with at least four years PQE
- Relevant Third Level Degree
- Experience working in the public sector, charity or non profit sector.
- Strong experience in developing high-performing teams.
- Experience negotiating with senior management or government officials.
- Knowledge or direct experience of Social Inclusion and Employment programmes.
- Project experience covering requirement gathering, prioritization, planning, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint applications, and portals is an advantage.
