A leading insurance group is seeking a Tax Manager to join their dynamic team in Dublin on a daily rate 6-9 month contract. This role involves managing and overseeing various tax-related functions, including Life, General Insurance, Health, Employment, and VAT. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, providing flexibility and a balanced work-life environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and laws, including Life, General Insurance, Health, Employment, and VAT.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities and support business objectives.
- Prepare and review tax returns, reports, and documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide expert tax advice to internal stakeholders on various tax matters and implications.
- Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Work closely with the tax team to ensure cohesive and comprehensive tax management.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and best practices, and implement improvements as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional tax qualification, CTA or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably within Insurance or related sector.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
