Tax Manager

Sanderson are partnering with a leading Insurance group to recruit for a Tax Manager to complete a 9 Month Daily RateContract.

Are you a tax professional with deep expertise in Irish tax compliance and reporting? We're looking for a highly motivated Tax Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing Irish tax obligations, ensuring compliance and delivering strategic tax advice across a dynamic and regulated business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the management of Irish tax compliance, including corporate tax, VAT, and insurance-related taxes and levies.
• Deliver accurate and timely tax reporting, forecasting, and advisory services in line with internal standards.
• Oversee tax input for quarterly, half-yearly, and annual group reporting cycles, including future forecasts.
• Manage tax provisions and disclosures for IFRS and Solvency II financial statements.
• Ensure all internal and statutory tax deadlines are met, including disclosures to Irish Revenue.
• Provide expert tax advice to the business, ensuring tax risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated.
• Drive tax efficiency across entities while considering broader group implications.
• Collaborate with Finance teams to coordinate tax charges for accounts and returns.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in tax processes and controls.
• Support the delivery of Group Tax objectives and foster a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Professional Accounting and/or Tax Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA).
• Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation and Revenue practices.
• Expertise in Irish insurance taxes and levies.
• Solid understanding of IFRS accounting and Solvency II reporting.
• Ability to interpret and communicate tax developments and risks to non-specialists.
• Proven experience managing complex tax compliance and reporting processes.
• Excellent planning and prioritisation skills to manage multiple deadlines.
