Payroll Officer

Sanderson are partnering with a respected not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities through a range of compassionate and impactful services. With a strong commitment to social justice and community well-being, they are seeking a dedicated Payroll Officer to join their dynamic Finance team. This position is hybrid working in the Dublin City Centre office.

The Payroll Officer is responsible for delivering full payroll services and acting as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related matters. The successful candidate will also support broader finance and analytical functions, contributing to the organisation's business partnership approach and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Management
  • Full end-to-end payroll processing
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with payroll procedures
  • Respond to payroll queries from staff and managers
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture team to streamline payroll processes
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and statutory deadlines
  • Implement and manage Pension Auto Enrolment, including staff education and query resolution
  • Liaise with external stakeholders
  • Support month-end and year-end payroll reconciliations and reporting
  • Assist with audits and funder reporting requirements
  • General Administration & Support
  • Provide ad hoc support across Finance functions, including: Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Support analysis and reporting for resource management and costings

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • IPASS Level 2 qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar payroll role
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax, and pension regulations
  • Experience with accounts payable/receivable processes
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
  • Strong IT proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel and payroll software
  • Customer service mindset and a collaborative approach
  • Interest in the not-for-profit sector is desirable
