Construction Buyer - equipment & tooling

This company builds & manages complex engineering & construction projects for clients globally.

In this role your responsibilities will be : -

• . To buy & hire equipment, materials & services for assigned construction projects.
• · Be responsible for procurement to pay process from sourcing to assisting with invoice clearance
• · for supplier sourcing & negotiations
• · To secure the quality &timely delivery of goods and/or services required for assigned projects.
• · Conduct bid analysis & processing of purchase orders
• · Create Procurement Schedules with project teams & planning function.
• · Liaise with suppliers & accounts payable team regarding invoice queries
• · Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities
• · Maintain Procurement Schedules with project teams & planning function.
• · Build relationships with internal & external stakeholders such as sites & suppliers
• · Negotiate vendor alliances & rebate agreements.
• · Assist in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials.
• · Conduct site visits to meet with project teams with some EU travel required.

Essential :

• · Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company buying plant equipment, tooling etc.
• · Excellent negotiation & communication skills, both written & verbal.
• · Work well as part of a team
• . Ideally a 3rd level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline.
• · Previous SAP experience.
• · Knowledge of Tool & plant purchase for construction
