Payroll Specialist

Sanderson is proud to partner with a leading pharmaceutical organisation to recruit a Payroll Specialist for a 6-9 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic HR Operations team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and compliant delivery of payroll and benefits processes.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of HR Operations, you will serve as the primary liaison with the third-party payroll provider. You'll be responsible for managing payroll data, supporting benefit reconciliations, and contributing to key reporting and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR Operations to deliver accurate payroll data to the outsourcing provider.
• Generate payroll metrics and dashboards.
• Document and maintain payroll processes and procedures.
• Provide timely and professional support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with statutory and tax audits by compiling relevant payroll data.
• Liaise with Revenue, social welfare, and third parties on payroll matters.
• Prepare and submit reports for Finance, HR, and Revenue.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and internal controls.
• Manage CSO and Eurostat reporting requirements.
• Reconcile private medical insurance and pension contributions at employee level.
• Perform redundancy and termination calculations.
• Monitor payroll deadlines and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
• Conduct BIK and SARP calculations.
• Support shadow payroll and share award processing.
• Contribute to Gender Pay reporting and ad-hoc payroll analysis.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years' experience managing large-scale payrolls.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and full-cycle payroll processing.
• IPASS accreditation is essential.
• Experience in benefits administration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Megapay and TMS is a distinct advantage.
