Supply Chain Project Executive - Retrofitting

Location: Dublin, with travel in Ireland.

I am seeking proactive and experienced Supply Chain Project Executive to support the scaling up of Ireland's retrofit sector. This is a high-impact, industry-facing role will be accelerating the delivery of energy retrofits nationwide through targeted engagement with contractors, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities.. You will : -

  • Drive strategic initiatives to expand contractor capacity and capabilities in Ireland's retrofit sector.
  • Identify and address skills and training gaps by collaborating with internal departments, training providers, and industry bodies.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with One Stop Shops, retrofit specialists, suppliers, manufacturers, and local authorities.
  • Engage regularly with contractors and other supply chain entities to increase competition and sector readiness.
  • Lead efforts in market analysis to inform policies, uncover barriers, and track retrofit activity across the supply chain.
  • Provide insights and updates that contribute to national energy and COâ‚‚ reduction goals by 2030.
  • Represent the organisaation in stakeholder meetings and industry forums and contribute to the develop industry guidance reports & make presentations to large diverse audiences.

  • Industry Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, training bodies, and stakeholders (e.g. One Stop Shops, local authorities).
  • Supply Chain Development: Identify gaps in contractor capacity, training, and skills; propose and execute scalable solutions.
  • Stakeholder Insight: Understand operations and development needs of key industry players to support and leverage their capabilities.
  • Market Analysis: Track retrofit trends, analyse supply constraints and barriers, and provide data-driven insights for programme scaling.
  • Technical Understanding: Engage in discussions around retrofit technologies, particularly insulation and heat pump systems.
  • Travel and Representation: Participate in stakeholder meetings, site visits, and possibly events to promote collaboration and drive programme delivery.
  • Educational Background: While formal supply chain qualifications are not essential, a level 8 or 9 in Engineering, architecture, science, or environmental disciplines are.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven ability to engage and influence external partners and stakeholders across construction and retrofit sectors.
  • Strong understanding of building technologies, supply chain dynamics, and the built environment.
  • Experience working in or alongside sectors such as engineering, environmental science, construction, or architecture.
  • Comfortable with travel and direct engagement with industry professionals and agencies.
  • Effective communicator, capable of translating market data and engagement insights into actionable strategies.

Highly Desirable

  • Background in energy efficiency or building retrofit projects.
  • Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in scaling sustainable technologies (e.g. heat pumps, insulation).
