Assistant Accountant - Insurance

Sanderson are partnering with an Insurance Group in Dublin 2 to recruit for an Assistant Accountant to complete a six month contract, with a view for extension.

This Associate-level role offers the opportunity to work closely with both local and international finance teams, contributing to the smooth financial operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly income statements
• Reconcile cash payments with commission statements and invoices
• Analyse debtor balances and aged debtor provisions
• Support monthly forecasting and bad debt management
• Prepare and issue invoices
• Liaise with central Finance teams in London to ensure seamless financial operations
• Manage inputs and timelines within a monthly financial cycle
• Reporting Structure
• Reports directly to the Head of Operations
• Dotted-line reporting to the Finance Department in London

Qualifications and experience required

• Degree-level education preferred Accounting, Finance, Business
• Actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• At least 2 years experience in a similar accounting position
• Insurance or Financial Services sector experience
