Performance Test Engineer

Performance Test Engineer to join leading Insurance Group a strategic transformation program. This is a 12-month contract with possible extension and a competitive daily rate of €500 per day. 50/50 hybrid model with the office based in South Dublin.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute performance tests using Apache JMeter
• Validate performance in Java 21 and JBoss EAP 8.0 environments
• Compare results against baseline metrics from Java 8 and WebLogic/WebSphere
• Capture key metrics: response time, throughput, resource utilisation
• Log issues in JIRA with detailed evidence and collaborate on root cause analysis
• Present results to key stakeholders clearly
• Work closely with our Test Manager, UAT Coordinator, solution architects, development and infrastructure teams to critically assess candidates for performance testing
• Participate in GO/No-Go decisions for production releases
• Support business users in validation phases
• Co-ordinate performance testing effort across multiple QA teams

Requirements:

• Experience of using at least one performance testing tool such as; LoadRunner, JMeter, LoadUI etc
• Experience of leading a number of nonfunctional test projects through all phases
• Knowledge of test automation and relevant tools
• Knowledge of Java, Springboot, Weblogic & JBOSS technologies
• Experience of testing on various platforms
