Are you an experienced HR and Payroll professional looking for your next challenge? We're seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our public sector client's HR Services team. This role is pivotal in managing payroll processes, maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring compliance with HR policies and legislation.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including onboarding, promotions, and exits.
- Maintain and update employee records in payroll systems.
- Compile and analyse payment data for reporting purposes.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll administration in line with deadlines.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Services team and manage HR inboxes.
- Assist in designing efficient systems and processes for HR operations.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and employment legislation.
- Support HR reporting (headcount, leave, absenteeism) and general office administration.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience in HR and Payroll.
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with excellent numerical ability.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of payroll systems (Resource Link), SAP, and MS SharePoint.
- Familiarity with employment legislation and advanced Excel skills.
