Corporate Accountant Part Time

Sanderson are partnering with a leading Reinsurance group to hire a motivated and detail oriented Corporate Accountant to join the European Finance team. This is a part time role, three days per week or five mornings. The successful candidate will support financial operations across multiple European branches and contribute to a high performing, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the processing and review of operating expenses across several European branches
• Analyse and report on operating expenses to support business decision making
• Record journal entries in the global ERP system for multiple branches and banking entities
• Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations
• Manage prepayment and accrual schedules
• Review and analyse balance sheet general ledger accounts, including expenses and eliminations
• Monitor compliance with inter company agreements
• Participate in finance systems initiatives and implementation projects
• Assist with internal and external audit queries

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• A professional accounting qualification with a minimum of 3 years' post qualification experience ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Strong experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• A proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi disciplinary, international team
• Familiarity with SAP
