Compliance Manager

Sanderson are partnering with a leading European company to recruit a Compliance Manager to establish and oversee compliance management activities across the business. This role involves working closely with senior leadership and operational teams to ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with key regulatory obligations.
• Lead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of compliance codes of conduct, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments, anti‑bribery and corruption, fraud.
• Oversee and maintain compliance registers, including Gifts & Hospitality, Conflicts of Interest, and Donations.
• Provide guidance on third‑party onboarding and support the preparation of compliance‑related responses for clients and external stakeholders.
• Support the evaluation of new business opportunities by identifying potential compliance risks.
• Develop and deliver compliance training materials for employees at all levels.
• Manage the organisation's Speak Up process and oversee investigations into compliance issues.
• Report to the Board on compliance matters and provide assurance on regulatory adherence.
• Conduct horizon scanning to ensure ongoing compliance with emerging regulatory requirements.
• Support regulatory reviews and investigations as required.
• Provide ongoing compliance support to frontline operations.

Candidates must demonstrate:

• Relevant industry experience in Engineering, Technology, Construction or similar non regulated sectors
• Previous experience as a Compliance Manager or similar role within a commercial environment.
• A third‑level degree and relevant qualifications in compliance, risk management, or an equivalent discipline.
• Proven experience developing and implementing compliance frameworks, codes, and policies.
• Strong analytical skills and a solutions‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing abilities.
• A commercial mindset and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
