Deputy Head of Quality, Risk and Compliance

Sanderson are partnering with a Not for Profit in Dublin City Centre to recruit for the permanent position of Deputy Head of Quality, Risk and Compliance.

This senior role leads quality assurance, risk management, data protection, incident management, health and safety, and regulatory compliance. The postholder ensures services meet legal and regulatory standards, supports strategic planning, and strengthens organisational governance and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality, Risk and Compliance function and frameworks.
• Oversee audits, inspections, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Manage risk registers, incident reporting and root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, sectoral standards and funder requirements.
• Act as Data Protection Officer and oversee GDPR compliance.
• Support Health and Safety compliance and safety culture.
• Provide governance reports to senior leadership and the Board.
• Support delivery and monitoring of the Strategic Plan.
• Develop team capability and promote a culture of accountability and learning.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• 8+ years' experience in quality, compliance, governance, risk or data protection.
• Relevant third‑level qualification.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Expertise in GDPR and Irish regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.

Desirable:

• Qualification in quality, risk, compliance, regulation or data protection.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems.
• Non‑profit sector or people management experience.
